A day at a surrogate home in Kenya!
Ensuring the well-being of surrogate mothers is one aspect that often takes a backseat in the realm of this medical tourism world. While few surrogacy agencies claim to keep up in the same aspect, others don't seem like doing the same.

Keeping the same questions and concerns in mind, I traveled my way to one of the most sought-after surrogacy destinations in the world- Kenya. On my way through to a surrogacy center, I was skeptical about everything- the people, the procedure, and the arrangements.

Here, I compile various aspects of my detailed findings and observations in the same context. All of the points and elements mentioned here are purely personal and don't mean to market or publicize any entity or person.

Arriving in Nairobi

I landed in Nairobi at around 10 in the morning and headed straight to the hotel I had booked prior. The journey en route was filled with beautiful glimpses of Kenya's rich flora and fauna. After rest and finishing my lunch, I went straight to a nearby surrogacy center.
I met Gaurav Wankhede, the founder of a Surrogacy Agency in Kenya, who seems like a nice person with deep knowledge about surrogacy-related facts and aspects. He took me to one of the surrogate houses in Kenya managed and monitored by his team based in Nairobi.

Visiting the surrogate home

The arrangements around the facility took me by surprise, given what I heard about the same from random blogs and news portals online. However, my biggest concern here was still the general well-being of the surrogate mothers residing at the property.

As I entered the facility, I was greeted well by the surrogate house people in Kenya. Gaurav Wankhede then made me meet a few of the surrogate mothers and what went next made me feel highly relieved.

Neither of the surrogate mothers complained about the facility or the medical experts around. To be double sure about my learning, I checked their rooms and related amenities.

The rooms were cleaned and properly cared for (the caretakers deserve a pat on the back for this). On top of that, the medical practitioner in the house is readily available for any emergency. All my worries and concerns regarding the surrogate mother's care and support were slowly and steadily wiped off.

I thanked Gaurav Wankhede surrogacy team for their amazing work and further passed on my greetings and wishes for their future. As I left that property, a hint of smile and contentment appeared on my face.

Still, just to make sure that this wasn't made up for my visit, I personally visited the families of all those surrogate mothers. The families were highly welcoming and they answered each of my questions with all the honesty and transparency.

The families' told me that Gaurav Wankhede Kenya team is taking care of their surrogate mothers better than any other surrogacy agency around. They even showed me several documents and agreements that confirmed the legitimacy of the entire interaction between the surrogate mothers and Gaurav wankhede's team.

Summing it up

This was just one surrogacy center I visited and basis of my findings, I can easily rate Surrogacy agency Kenya on par with some of the best surrogacy centers around the world. Yet, it's purely my viewpoint, and one must do all the required research and observation before deciding on any of the aspects related to surrogacy in Kenya.
